  Extremely frustrated with the office management and have had poor experience with nurse practitioner. This dr. Office refused our cash pay payment at time of service because they would rather charge the insurance company that we were no longer with (but there was an error in there system). Then we were told that we have been dismissed from the practice 8 months later when we called to get in! We already had received poor care and bedside manor having to do with the male nurse practitioner. In this incident our daughter had had a uti diagnosed at children's hospital and we were seeing the dr as a follow up when we were told they would have to do a catheter to collect a urine sample for further texting. I was told just urine taken the old fashion way by peeing in a specimen cup would not suffice. They then told me to step out of the room while they collected it. I refused so that I could be of comfort to my then 5 year old. Without even explaining anything to her, they pulled down her pants, and did it as fast as they could. Anyone who has had one knows that it is uncomfortable at best and when rushed can hurt and cause mild bleeding to which the rush effort did result in. Then to top it off they let the sample go bad because they never told me that upon taking it that I would have to drive the sample at that moment across town. I had already told them that I had to be at work and that failure to do so would result in a job loss and hardship on my family. They said take it when I can get off. To which I did, however upon getting to the lab DLO was told that the sample should have been refrigerated and put on ice during transportation! I was never told this. The urine went bad, my daughter still talks about when they "hurt her down there", and now when she needs to be seen find out we are refused service because we tried to pay cash on the spot! Does anyone else see anything wrong with this?!?!?!
